CCA clears the concentration between VIPnet and Metronet Telekomunikacije
The Croatian Competition Agency (CCA) cleared the concentration between the undertakings VIPnet and Metronet Telekomunikacije.
This is a concentration in the provision of electronic communication services on fixed lines in the territory of the Republic of Croatia that will produce effects on competition in markets where there are overlapping activities of VIPnet and Metronet.
The implementation of the concentration between VIPnet and Metronet will mean wider deployment of its own network infrastructure in the provision of electronic communication services on fixed lines in thirty more towns, which will produce benefits for final consumers not only for the businesses, the market segment that was up till now in the focus of Metronet operations, but also for the residential customers. At the same time, the implementation of the concentration concerned creates the necessary prerequisites for deployment and intensifying of infrastructure competition.
