SAMR Chinese delegation pays visit to CCA
On 20 December 2019 the Chinese delegation from the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), Beijing, People’s Republic of China, was welcomed by the Croatian Competition Agency (CCA).
SAMR is a new Chinese market regulator that was established after the re-organisation in the administration authorities and the revision of the rules concerned with the view to simplifying the operation and preventing overlapping and enhancing coordination between the competent ministries. The new authority is in charge of market regulation in general, the issuance of business permits and licences, control of monopolies and intellectual property rights.
Mirta Kapural, PhD, member of the Council, welcomed the SAMR Chinese delegation that was represented by Liu Jian, Tang Yu, Zou Juan, Zeng Chuan, Xu Xiaofei and Zou Juan.
Based on the existing Memorandum on Cooperation between the European Commission and the People’s Republic of China in the area of competition this meeting will make the cooperation between the Croatian and Chinese peers possible, by the inclusion into the already existing EU technical assistance programme providing for biannual visits of the EU experts to their Chinese colleagues.
