Marijana Mutavd\u017ei\u0107, head of the Department for legal issues in unfair trading practices and Tajana Blagojevi\u0107, senior advisor, participated from 11 \u2013 13 September 2024 in the panel discussion of the Workshop on Unfair Trade Practices and Antitrust, organized by the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection within the institutional support for Moldavia and Ukraine in the development of their competition regime.<\/p>\n

The first two days of the workshop were dedicated to unfair trading practices in the food supply chain, while the third day focused on discussions related to antitrust law. The workshop, divided into several sections, included individual presentations on the following topics: legal regulation of unfair trading practices in the food supply chain and the implementation of the EU Directive on unfair trading practices into the national legislation of individual member states, investigations and data collection, demonstrating unfair trading practices, and the costs borne by participants in the food supply chain.<\/p>\n

In the panel discussion \u201cRegulation of unfair trading practices: Implementation in EU member states\u201d, Marijana Mutavd\u017ei\u0107 spoke about the \u201eRegulation of unfair trading practices in Croatia \u201c, whereas Tajana Blagojevi\u0107 held the presentation on the \u201eImportance of evidence in building a strong case\u201c in the panel discussion \u201cUTP investigations: Obtaining information about unfair practices and how to demonstrate violations\u201d.<\/p>\n

The third day that was dedicated to the area of antitrust studied the differences between the settlement v leniency program issues and the use of market investigations in the enforcement of competition law.<\/p>\n
