{"id":31170,"date":"2025-11-03T09:53:17","date_gmt":"2025-11-03T09:53:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aztn.hr\/pokrenut-postupak-protiv-trgovackog-drustva-mauthner-d-o-o-koprivnica\/"},"modified":"2025-12-02T13:45:41","modified_gmt":"2025-12-02T13:45:41","slug":"pokrenut-postupak-protiv-trgovackog-drustva-mauthner-d-o-o-koprivnica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aztn.hr\/en\/pokrenut-postupak-protiv-trgovackog-drustva-mauthner-d-o-o-koprivnica\/","title":{"rendered":"CCA opens proceeding against MAUTHNER d.o.o., Koprivnica"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Croatian Competition Agency (CCA) opened an infringement proceeding within the meaning of the Act on prohibition of unfair trading practices in the business-to-business food supply chain (UTPs Act) with the view to identifying whether the buyer MAUTHNER d.o.o. from Koprivnica, used its strong bargaining power and imposed unfair trading practices on its corn suppliers.<\/p>\n<p>The CCA opened the infringement proceeding following the indications resulting from the reasoned submission raising concerns that the buyer in question acted in contravention with the UTPs Act.<\/p>\n<p>The CCA notes here that the mere opening of an administrative procedure against an undertaking does not mean that the practices at issue constitute unfair trading practices.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, the CCA will investigate into the content and the nature of the business deals between the buyer MAUTHNER and its suppliers of corn and only then it shall make its decision on the merit of the case, considering all the relevant facts of the case and concrete evidence that substantiate the indications based on which the procedure has been opened in the first place.<\/p>\n<p>In line with its confidentiality obligation, the CCA cannot give comments or provide any information about an ongoing case.<\/p>\n<p>The final decision of the CCA will be published on this website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Croatian Competition Agency (CCA) opened an infringement proceeding within the meaning of the Act on prohibition of unfair trading practices in the business-to-business food supply chain (UTPs Act) with the view to identifying whether the buyer MAUTHNER d.o.o. from Koprivnica, used its strong bargaining power and imposed unfair trading practices on its corn suppliers.
