{"id":32452,"date":"2026-08-13T08:23:13","date_gmt":"2026-08-13T08:23:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aztn.hr\/pokrenut-postupak-protiv-trgovackog-drustva-granolio-d-d-zagreb\/"},"modified":"2026-10-06T07:37:42","modified_gmt":"2026-10-06T07:37:42","slug":"pokrenut-postupak-protiv-trgovackog-drustva-granolio-d-d-zagreb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aztn.hr\/en\/pokrenut-postupak-protiv-trgovackog-drustva-granolio-d-d-zagreb\/","title":{"rendered":"Unfair trading practices: CCA opens proceeding against Granolio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Croatian Competition Agency (CCA) has opened an infringement proceeding within the meaning of the Act on prohibition of unfair trading practices in the business-to-business food supply chain (UTPs Act) with the view to identifying whether the buyer Granolio d.d. used its strong bargaining power and imposed unfair trading practices on its wheat suppliers.<\/p>\n<p>The CCA opened the infringement proceeding on its own initiative following the indications resulting from the preliminary investigation that involved checking the compliance of the operations of the buyers with the UTPs Act, including Granolio.<\/p>\n<p>The CCA notes here that the mere opening of an administrative procedure against an undertaking does not mean that the practices at issue constitute unfair trading practices.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, the CCA will investigate into the content and the nature of the business deals between Granolio and its wheat suppliers and only then it shall make its decision on the merit of the case, considering all the relevant facts of the case and concrete evidence that substantiate the indications based on which the procedure has been opened in the first place.<\/p>\n<p>In line with its confidentiality obligation, the CCA cannot give comments or provide any information about an ongoing case.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Croatian Competition Agency (CCA) has opened an infringement proceeding within the meaning of the Act on prohibition of unfair trading practices in the business-to-business food supply chain (UTPs Act) with the view to identifying whether the buyer Granolio d.d. used its strong bargaining power and imposed unfair trading practices on its wheat suppliers.
