Global Forum on Competition and OECD Competition Committee meetings held in Paris

The Global Forum on Competition and the meetings of the OECD Competition Committee were held in Paris from 1 to 4 December 2025. The Croatian Competition Agency (CCA) was represented at these events by the president of the Competition Council, Mirta Kapural, PhD, and Tanja Vukov Željeznjak, senior advisor in the Department for international and European cooperation.

The CCA’s cooperation with the OECD takes place twice a year within the framework of the Competition Committee, in which the CCA has participated as a participant since June 2016, as well as through the Global Forum on Competition, which brings together jurisdictions from around the world regardless of the OECD membership.

During the December meetings, participants discussed a wide range of current and complex issues in competition policy, including the impact of artificial intelligence on competition dynamics in downstream markets, competition in the healthcare sector, and the enforcement of competition law in informal markets. Particular attention was also given to the alignment of competition policy priorities, the conduct of market studies, and the use of other market analysis tools. In addition, competition authorities shared their experience in the use of artificial intelligence-based technologies, competition issues related to AI infrastructure, and the interaction between prudential regulation and competition requirements in the banking sector.

On selected topics discussed at the meetings, the CCA submitted a written contribution and delivered an oral presentation on the topic of Market investigation and other tools market analysis tools.
