COMPETITION DAY CCA INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE: “New trends in the assessment of concentrations and compliance with competition rules in the digital environment”
We are pleased to invite you to the annual international conference of the Croatian Competition Agency (CCA), which will take place on Friday, 7 November 2025, at Hotel Dubrovnik in Zagreb, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The conference will bring together leading domestic and international experts in the field of competition law to discuss current challenges and trends shaping the regulatory framework and practice in the Republic of Croatia, the European Union, and beyond.
The program will open with a keynote address by Mr. Ori Schwartz, Head of the Competition Division at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), who will provide an overview of the key issues faced by competition authorities in an era of rapid market changes.
This will be followed by two thematic panel discussions focusing on new trends in the assessment of concentrations and on the challenges of ensuring compliance with competition rules in the digital environment.
Distinguished representatives of European competition authorities have confirmed their participation, including Daniele Calisti from the European Commission (DG COMP), Andrej Matvoz, president of the Slovenian competition authority, Nuno Cunha Rodrigues, president of the Portuguese competition authority, and Bogdan Marius Chiritoiu, president of the Romanian Competition Council. The conference will also feature many other domestic and international experts who, through dialogue and exchange of experience, will contribute to the discussion on the further development of competition law and practice.
The conference is intended for all those whose work involves competition law issues — from the legal and business communities to academia and representatives of public institutions. It offers a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge, gain insight into new regulatory trends in the field of competition, and networking with key stakeholders from Croatia and abroad.
