CCA announcing the launch of OECD project helping countries fight bid rigging in public procurement
On 23 September 2024 the OECD – OCDE Competition Division, the European Commission (DG Reform & EU Competition Policy) and six competition authorities were joined by 40+ participants on the CCA premises Zagreb & online for the kick-off event of “Fighting bid rigging in public procurement : Improving compliance with competition law for public contracts in Austria, Bulgaria Croatia, Cyprus, Greece and Romania”. ”, a project funded by the European Union via the Technical Support Instrument.
The project aims at helping the countries improve bid rigging prevention and detection while increasing compliance with competition law and promoting better practices in public contracts.

On this occasion, we would like to note that with the recently adopted official opinion of the OECD Competition Committee, as part of the negotiations for the membership of the Republic of in this organization, the accession process in the area of competition has been successfully completed.
