Cooperation Agreement between the Croatian Competition Agency and the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Croatia
On 28 January 2026, Prof. Željko Tanjić, PhD, Rector of the Catholic University of Croatia (CUC), and Mirta Kapural, PhD, LLM, president of the Competition Council (CCA), signed a cooperation agreement in the field of competition law.
The objective of the cooperation is to strengthen the link between academic teaching in law and the practical application of competition law and policy, as well as to enhance students’ exposure to professional practice within the framework of the integrated undergraduate and graduate university law programme.
Under the agreement, the parties commit in particular to cooperation aimed at improving the quality of study programmes and the professional development of law students at the Catholic University of Croatia in the field of competition law. This will be achieved through educational activities and guest lectures delivered by the staff of the CCA as part of the existing curriculum, as well as through occasional student visits to the CCA and joint training and lecture activities.
The cooperation will be implemented through direct contacts between the parties, the exchange of information on professional events (including seminars and conferences), mutual invitations to seminars and other educational programmes organised by either party in the field of competition law and policy, the joint organisation of educational activities, professional events, roundtables or conferences, subject to available resources, cooperation in the implementation of EU-funded projects carried out by either party, student internships subject to available capacity and resources, and the exchange of information on studies, books, professional publications and related materials.
Through this agreement, the CCA seeks to provide law students of the Catholic University of Croatia with opportunities of acquiring practical knowledge of the CCA functioning and activities, and further training in the field of competition law.
