Workshop on cartel investigations in Rovinj

Croatian Competition Agency, OECD Regional Centre for Competition in Budapest (RCC) and the Hungarian Competition Agency (GVH) organized the workshop on cartel investigations, conducting unannounced searches, leniency programs and prohibited agreements in public procurement procedures in Rovinj from 11 to 13 June 2013.

CCA hosted representatives of the Competition Agencies from 14 countries which are not members of the OECD – from Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan to Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. They heard useful information and experience in cartel investigations, conducting unannounced searches, leniency applications or models for prevention of cartels in public procurement procedures during the three day seminar from Jon B.Jacobs from the U.S. Department of Justice, Christof Vollmer from the German Bundeskartellamt., Haim Abiv from the Israeli authorities for the protection of competition, Cszepai Balazs from Hungary and Sabine Zigelski from the RCC.
