Competition Day

On 11 June 2019 the Croatian Competition Agency in cooperation with the European Commission’s Representation in Croatia is hosting the 2019 Competition Day in Zagreb, Hotel Panorama.

The conference is dealing with the current issues of competition policy and merger control in the context of public interest and the newly adopted ECN+ Directive and its transposition in the national legal system.

The speakers at the conference have already confirmed their participation – Kris Dekeyeser from the EC Directorate General for Competition and Bogdan Chirițoiu, chairman of the Romanian competition authority. Panel discussions will be attended by the representatives of the academia and the representatives of the Italian, Austrian and Slovak competition authorities.

The participation of the officials from Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Monte Negro has also been confirmed. On the margins of the conference the Albanian competition authority and the Croatian Competition Authority will sign a memorandum on cooperation.
