CCA adopts Initial Report of the Trustee BDO Croatia in monitoring conditionally approved concentration AUTOMOTIVE LLP and RENAULT/NISSAN

The Croatian Competition Agency (CCA) adopted the Initial Report of the Trustee BDO Croatia d.o.o. on the implementation of conditions and obligations contained in the decision on conditionally approved concentration between the undertakings Grand Automotive LLP and Renault/Nissan of 9 August 2022 subject to fulfilment of commitments by the undertakings concerned with the view to eliminating competition concerns.

Applying its own method, the Trustee BDO Croatia took initial monitoring actions regarding the behaviour of the undertakings concerned in complying with the commitments under the decision concerned and stated that in the period concerned the conditions and obligations have been complied with and made its own proposals with respect to the implementation of the remedies. It added that it would continue to monitor the behaviour of, and the commitments complied with by the undertakings concerned throughout the duration of the concentration and report to the CCA as necessary and as stipulated under the decision concerned.

The CCA accepted the actions of the Trustee and advised the Trustee to carry on with the monitoring activities and reporting in line with the decision and its own proposals.

The CCA notes here that the purpose of reporting is to ensure both the Trustee and the CCA the monitoring of the implementation of the conditions and obligations under certain deadlines stipulated under the decision regarding the duration of the conditionally approved concentration Gand Automotive LLP, and Nissan and Renault.
