EU monitoring of unfair trading practices (UTPs)

The European Commission is conducting the third annual survey to assess the effectiveness of measures taken by the Member States in the context of unfair trading practices (UTPs) in business-to-business relationships in the agricultural and food supply chain.

The Questionnaire to suppliers in the agricultural and food supply chain on unfair trading practices (UTPs) will help provide necessary guidelines in the creation of the EU policy in the area concerned after the adoption of the Directive (EU) 2019/633 on unfair trading practices (UTPs) in business-to-business relationships in the agricultural and food supply chain. The EU Member States were required to transpose the Directive into their national legal framework by the 1st May 2021 and apply it six months later.

This survey by the Joint Research Centre and the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Commission is carried out across all Member States and it targets suppliers covered by the Directive at the different stages of the agricultural and food supply chain.

The survey is opened until 15 March 2023.

It will take approximately 15 minutes to fill in this survey.
