The representatives of five countries in the region – Austria, Czechia, Rumania, Slovenia, and Croatia – participated in the first regional meeting of enforcement authorities both in the area of competition and prohibited unfair trading practices in the food and agri products supply chain, held in Vienna on 14 February 2023.

The experts from the region whose enforcement cover competition and unfair trading practices met to exchange experience to fight unfair trading practices in the food and agri products supply chain.

The CCA was represented by the president of the Competition Council, Mirta Kapural, PhD, the head of unfair trading practices department for legal issues, Sandra Mikinac, LLM, and the head of unfair trading practices department for economic issues, Vlatka Vrkić, MEcon.

The participants were aware of the significance of such meetings where experience and good practice are exchanged and wished to meet regionally again on a regular basis including the enforcement authorities that are in charge of unfair trading practices but not necessarily with the enforcement of competition rules.
